About Arens Controls

Charles Arens, the founder of Arens Controls, was among the early pioneers in aviation technology who made his first flight in 1911. His fascination with machinery and the control of various mechanical devices led Mr. Arens to found Arens Controls in 1939. Born from his pioneering spirit of innovation, Arens Controls quickly grew as a respected supplier of push/pull control cables for airplanes, tanks, submarines, automobiles, commercial trucks and agricultural equipment. Today, Arens is a world leader in the design and manufacture of by-wire shifter and throttle technology supplying the world's leading OEMs with performance and safety critical control systems.

As was the case when the company was founded, Arens continues to play a major role in changing the way people and goods are transported. Our work in developing and manufacturing state-of-the-art power electronic drivetrain components and systems for the Hybrid Electronic Vehicle (HEV) market is an example of how Arens continues to advance its leadership role in the transportation industry.
