Electronic Shift Selectors

Over the past 30 years, Arens has been the pioneer in the development of electronic shift selector technology. Today, Arens electronic shift selectors are standard equipment on 90% of all medium and heavy-duty trucks, and transit buses manufactured in North America. As we move forward, Arens will continue its leadership role in the evolution of electronic shift selector technology.

Arens has developed several application-specific, multi-function, configurable shift-by-wire control devices designed to integrate multiple vehicle functions into one shift selector control head. An example of this can be found in the custom-engineered control consol designed for agricultural combines. This fully-integrated control console allows the operator to control the vehicle propulsion using an electro-mechanical shift selector with integrated sealed switch modules to control several other vehicle functions.
